Here are some of them: Intestinal dysbiosis theory: claims that an alteration of the intestinal bacterial flora can affect lung function, increasing the risk of respiratory infections and asthma. Immune system theory: states that chronic inflammation of the gut can weaken the immune system and increase vulnerability to respiratory infections. Systemic inflammation theory: suggests that chronic inflammation of the gut can spread throughout the body, including the lungs, and contribute to respiratory problems.
